The Nicki Minaj appropriation on this song is bald-faced; Kesha’s entire turn is all syncopated faux-weird, accents, birdsong dynamics. The whole nine. And spitting the lamest rhymes probs ever (the part of Minaj she couldn’t cop) doesn’t do anything to get her out of the critical gutter she’s currently making her bed in. Regardless, I’ve done most of what she’s getting down with here (bringing booze to the bar, stealing drinks, not riding in Mercedes Benzs, and pretending to be Nicki Minaj) so it’s a little hard to hate. Except that it's Kesha. Kesha! That blonde girl that's #1 on iTunes right now? Yeah, whut?
